Job Description:  The Public Information Officer (PIO) is a very important position.  This job requires that the volunteer be very familiar with the objectives and direction of The Dorothy Day Center.  We are often requested to write articles and give statements to the media and other outlets.  The PIO should be the person who handles most of this work.  The PIO should be capable of writing bulletin announcements, newspaper articles, do internet research on topics, and be familiar with writing press releases.
