Volunteer Opportunities for April and May 2025
The Dorothy Day Center serves low-income or no income individuals and families in need of food who do not have transportation to their local food pantry.
Regional food bank truck dates for April and May. Monday, April 14, 2025 and Monday, May 12, 2025, the truck arrives between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. We will be receiving a shipment this day from the Regional Food Bank. Volunteers needed. Items will be stocked on shelves and in the walk-in refrigerator and freezer. Time commitment is about an hour and a half.
Catholic Worker/Dorothy Day Center grocery delivery days
Saturdays, April 19, 2025 and April 26, 2025, arrive 8:30 AM, about three hours time commitment.
Saturdays, May 17, 2025 and May 24, 2025, arrive 8:30 AM, about three hours time commitment.
Please note that the Catholic Worker/Dorothy Day Center grocery delivery days in 2025 will be the third and fourth Saturdays of the month at 8;30 a.m. October - May and 8 a.m. June - September.
